5 Tops To Wear With Leather Skirts This Spring

Are you wondering what to wear this spring?

Spring is a wonderful time of year, but it can certainly throw off your wardrobe A-game. From April through June, there are sunny spells that give you that 'spring' in your step, but you cannot escape the inevitable blustery winds. The evenings get longer, but remain chilly and of course, there are the freak rain showers. Let's be honest, its enough to make you want to give up on styling altogether! (We love staying in in our tracksuits sometimes, too!). But do not fear, you can't get out of socialising that easily. We have the best spring styling tip that will be sure to save you stressful wardrobe nightmares and being caught out in the unpredictable weather: the leather skirt.

Why do we love wearing a leather skirt in spring?

There are lots of different styles of leather skirt, meaning there is one for every body shape and style out there. From mini skirts to maxi skirts, sexy styles for date nights, leather pencil skirts for work, and from black leather skirts to leather skirts that come in fun, chic colours, there is one for every occasion and mood, too. You simply can't go wrong.

Most importantly, we love wearing a leather skirt in spring because it feels substantial, yet summery. You can layer it up, or keep it stripped back to suit different weathers whilst not compromising on style.

What we love to wear with a leather skirt:

  • We love styling our leather skirts with boots to create that perfect transitional look. Biker boots are a great shout and are on trend if you want to go for that cool rock-chick look.
Top tip, if it is bad weather, wear yours with tights to keep warmer whilst maintaining summer vibe.
Trainers also can style down an outfit, whilst heels go well with a leather skirt too! It really is versatile and means you can stay true to your own personality and style.
  • You also can't go wrong with a trench - the perfect transitional piece to be caught in a rain shower in, plus it goes with almost all leather skirts.
  • Of course, a scarf or lightweight jumper is great to carry around with you in case you start to feel chilly in a skirt, and remember, all chic French girls carry an umbrella in spring just to be on the safe side!
  • Finally, the perfect top is essential. Something to strip down to should the sun come out - the best bit about this time of year!

As June arrives and the weather is certainly getting warmer, the cotton shirt is your go-to. Lightweight and easily layered, it is a wardrobe staple that extends to your leather skirt spring styling.

A Cashmere Vest

A cashmere vest is one of our favourite pieces. It is so versatile as can be worn over shirts or other tops, or by itself, depending on the weather. The Roe is also slightly cropped which means it goes really well with high-waisted leather skirts.

Style Tip: tuck in your top if you are wearing a high-waisted skirt, or wear a cropped top to accentuate your waist.

Still not convinced on leather skirts, or how to style them? How about opting for leather trousers or shorts instead for great spring styling?
