SKIIM Paris is a London-based womenswear label shaped by a Parisian point of view. Founded by Caroline Massenet, the brand places leather and suede at the centre of a modern wardrobe: tactile, precise and designed to become more personal with wear. Strong silhouettes meet softness and movement; French sensuality is sharpened by a distinctly London instinct. 

The story began in 2016, when Caroline identified a space for leather prêt-à-porter that felt less like occasion dressing and more like an essential part of a woman’s life. Her perspective had been formed on both sides of the camera: first as a model, then as a stylist working with Vogue Paris and CR Fashion Book. That experience, watching how women inhabit clothes, rather than simply how clothes photograph, still sits at the heart of SKIIM. 

The visual language is cinematic without being nostalgic. Caroline has long looked to the women of 1960s and 1970s French film and music, not to reproduce their wardrobes but to capture something of their attitude: independence, sensuality, irreverence and ease. Paris supplies the polish; London introduces the unexpected, a shift in proportion, a sharper edge, a detail that makes a familiar piece feel newly alive. 

SKIIM has always argued for style over trends. Its leather, suede and complementary ready-to-wear are conceived as pieces to live with: to mix with vintage denim, tailoring, silk or a favourite shirt; to soften, evolve and acquire character rather than become obsolete at the end of a season. The result is a wardrobe built around personality rather than a prescribed total look. 

That philosophy also shapes the brand’s approach to responsibility. SKIIM’s current language centres on consciously and ethically sourced leather, craftsmanship and longevity. Earlier brand statements emphasised small production runs, reducing waste, repurposing off-cuts and acknowledging that no fashion business can credibly claim perfection. The principle is less about purity than progress: choosing materials with care, making deliberately and asking each piece to earn its place over time. 

Above all, SKIIM is designed around the woman wearing it. The clothes are a frame, not a costume, confident but unforced, feminine without fragility, sensual without excess. A meeting of Parisian instinct and London freedom, made for wardrobes that are collected, mixed and lived in.
